St. Clairsville Swim Team

Due to the cold water temperature we are postponing the first practice unitl Monday June 1.  

Here is our cold water policy:

71 degrees or below: Cancel practice.

72 - 74 degrees: older swimmers with modified practice to keep swimmers moving with shorten rest periods. No starts.

75-77 degrees: Acceptable for all ages.

78- 80 degrees: ideal competitve practice range.

 IMPORTANT:   All participants must be comfortable going across the pool without swim floaties or any other assistance.  They should be able to put their face in the water and be comfortable with floating on front and back.  25 meters is the pool length that they will be swimming across.

We practice at the Allen Pool in St. Clairsville,  Located at the St. Clairsville Richland Township Memorial Park. 200 Walnut Ave.

Cost is: $80.00 for 1 swimmer.  $155.00 for 2 swimmers (same family/same household). $225.00 for 3 swimmers( same family/ same household).  Fees are refundable until our first practice.  There will not be any refunds after our first practice!!

Included in the cost:  T shirt, swim cap, pool rental, lifeguard fees, participation award, pizza party, ribbons, meet fees, etc.

  Purchasing a team suit is not required.  If you choose to purchase a  different suit - that is fine, however we encourage the color red :) Swimmers will be asked to wear their swim caps for the swim meets (provided).

Swimmers will need a good pair of goggles!!!   This is very important!  Swimmers need to wear goggles at every practice.  Swim outlet offers a good selection of goggles for a decent price.  Cost is approx. $16.00 to $30.00.

Girls will need to wear a one piece suit.  Boys can wear jammers.

First day of practice will be Tuesday, May 26.  That is weather depending.  If we have a cold start to the summer like last year, our first day will be June 1.  We will make that decision the end of May.  

Afternoon practice will be  6:15pm ( ages 10 and under)and 7:00pm ( Ages 11 and over). Monday through Thursday.
